Wishlist for Pocket PC

Post by NeilZ »

OK, now that I actually have a Pastor in the family, I'm finding out what she'd like to see in any new version of Pocket PC.

1. The ability to download any pictures attached to the personal profiles. I realize that this may involve having to include a routine to resize the pics down, but its an idea that is desired by this new pastor who needs to put a face to a name.

2. The ability to recognize which version of PCPlus the PDA is being synced to, thus enabling the improved Visitation module in v11.

3. The ability to add notes to the Mailing List and Personal Profiles that can be printed out from the main program. In this way, notes (other than visitation notes) can be created, printed, and given to whoever updates the membership data.

For example: Pastor visits Mary and Joe Smith, Mary lets minister know that Sara Smith is attending school in another state, and gives the minister the address. This can be then entered in the PDA, and transferred to the main program for a report used by the membership secretary to perform updates.

Pocket PC does not actually sync an update, but can act as a note transfer medium that will not get lost. Too often sticky notes get misplaced, in this way, the program can hold the note until deleted by someone.
