I am trying to send a group email and I have gone to the email settings and put in my server and I am sure it is the right one but when I try and send the emails out I get the 530 error. I think it has to do with the password not going through but I don't know where to put it in... can anyone help please?

thanks

When PowerChurch 8.5 was being developed, almost no ISPs were using SMTP (outgoing mail) authentication. You only had to give a password to receive incoming mail. With the increase in spam, ISPs have begun to implement SMTP authentication to keep unauthorized users (spammers) from using your mail server to send junk email. PowerChurch 8.5 didn't have this feature because 3 years ago, this wasn't an issue. Version 9, due out later this year, does give the ability to specify an outgoing username and password.
