PCSETTINGS.LOADSETTING ERROR

Ran into an issue this morning on my home setup were the program would not load. I received the following error message.
Program: pcsettings.loadsetting
Line: 92
Error: 41
Message: Memofile c:\Programfiles\Powerchurch\pcplus11\data\coinfo.ftp is missing or is invalid
The file was in fact there so I did the following. Ran netsetup and got the same message. I went to my complete folder backup which is on an external drive and copied the coinfo.ftp file from there to my c: drive and the program still would not run. Tried to run the program from the external drive and it ran fine so I copied the entire folder back to the c: drive but it still would not run on c:\. I then tried to run the program from my laptop networked to the same pc and the program ran on the laptop. I then restored from a backup I had created yesterday at the church and after that the program ran on the pc with no problem.
Any ideas on what was going on here and how would I get out of this if I did not have a networked computer connected to allow me to restore the data?
The pc I had trouble with is a Dell Studio xps running Window7 64 bit. The laptop which I was able to run the program from is also running Windows7 64 bit.
