We updated from v9 to v11 some time ago, and 9 was not removed. Are there any issues or concerns when removing an old version that may cause damage to the current version or data? Is there a removal tool, or do I just use Windows Add/Remove programs?

You can uninstall v9 without it affecting the v11 installation. Just use the add/remove programs tool in the Windows Control Panel to uninstall it.
