I would like to upgrade to the version 9 however, I am not sure whether I should order it and install it before the end of the year or not. I am very unfamiliar with installing an upgrade, actually have never done it before and don't want to mess anything up. I just came on board with powerchurch in January of last year when our secretary quit so have pretty much learned it on my own. What would you suggest doing about installing the upgrade? Pros and cons?

Jody,

If you have the luxury/availability of another computer at church, install the current version on it and then install the upgrade.

Just remember to continue entering your data in the older version until you become comfortable with version 9.

Once you're ready, upgrade your "production" computer to version 9. Then you delete everything from your "test" computer.

Another option might be to use a personally owned computer, if the church would permit its data to be "exported" home for a temporary time frame.
