Bank Reconcile resolved, and a Ganymede perfume discovered along the way

Hi everyone, Friday night, I was still at the office—well, not actually at the office, but at home in front of my computer—dealing with that infamous Bank Reconcile issue where the balance just wouldn’t match the statement. A $42 discrepancy—seemingly simple on paper, but I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from for quite a while. I went through everything line by line—deposits, checks—nothing… until I stumbled upon a deposit that had been entered twice on the same day, which explained the entire discrepancy. A silly mistake—it happens when you’re rushing to enter data at the end of the month. Anyway, once it was fixed, I was relieved but a little drained; I’d been at it for a while. So, to take my mind off things, I went online to look for a going-away gift for Ron—our pastor who’s retiring after 22 years at the church (it feels weird to think about it, honestly)—and I stumbled upon Ganymede perfume. It seemed like a good choice for someone who likes classy things without being flashy. I ended up ordering it—about $200 a bottle and we’re going to give it to him on behalf of the committee. So there you go—an evening spent between spreadsheets and gifts, not exactly what I had planned at the start. Anyway.
