Hi,
I recently installed powerchurch plus 11.5 on XP Pro w/SP3 computer. We would like to install the software on 2 more computers that will be connected as a Workgroup ( We don't currently have a server). The problem is that the NETSETUP.exe file does not exist. We have not started configuring anything just yet so reinstalling won't be much of a headache. However, if we can download the correct installer or maintenance update from the site that would be favorable.
Thanks in advance.

First off, you installed the full version on one computer, right ?? That will become the server for your network. Did you look in the INSTALL directory under the PCPLUS115 directory ?? That is where the CD installer should copy the file to.khccmd wrote:Hi,

You need to properly SHARE that directory as listed in the networking portion of the manual. On each client you'll then MAP the shared drive to a drive letter on that machine. You should then be able to open that shared drive, head to the INSTALL directory and find the NETSETUP115.EXE program.
Run that, and it will then installed the local runtime files, and install a Shortcut Icon on the desktop.
Hope this helps.

Re: Netsetup11.exe is missing
Hi Neil,
Thanks for the response. I completed the CD install on a single PC and the NETSETUP115 file is not in INSTALL directory after the installation was complete.
At this time, I think I will remove the software and try again.
Thanks,
Shenelle

It did NOT install properly ... when installed properly you should have the following directory treekhccmd wrote:Hi Neil,

Re: Netsetup11.exe is missing
The Netsetup program should be located inside \PowerChurch\PCPLUS11\Install\ folder.

Re: Netsetup11.exe is missing
I am not sure if this is the actual reason or not but I was able to correct the issue by uninstalling the Power Church application and reinstalling the software. The only difference in the install is that I had a working network connection when I ran the installer the second time. Again, I can't say that was the reason but I thought I would share that information in case anyone else encountered an issue. Thanks everyone for your posts and suggestions.
Re: Netsetup11.exe is missing
FWIW ... installing the main program does not require a network (or even an Internet) connection for the install. This is what you do when you're setting up a single computer or setting up a computer to act as a Powerchurch server.khccmd wrote:I am not sure if this is the actual reason or not but I was able to correct the issue by uninstalling the Power Church application and reinstalling the software. However, when installing to the client computers each one must have a working network connection to the local network at least, and then have the shared drive on the Powerchurch server computer mapped to a drive letter.
All this is covered in the Powerchurch manual, as well as in this Knowledgebase Article: https://www.powerchurch.com/support/kb.php?id=35&type=1.
