Re: Step by Step
FWIW ... Pocket Powerchurch was a program that was developed for the Palm PDA. It is no longer being sold nor supported. I'm not sure that the old PP program can even interface with the v11.x database any longer.PGMBC wrote:I need step by step instructions on setup up my handheld PDA to sync with Pocket Power Church.

Re: Step by Step
I have the pocket pc software but I can't get the PDA setup correctly to sync with the Power Church Software.
Re: Step by Step
As I mentioned, it was designed for the Palm using the original Palm OS. That said, the system is loaded using the old Palm Desktop load module. If I remember right, the desktop portion of PP would do the extract from the main Powerchurch database for syncing with the Palm.PGMBC wrote:I have the pocket pc software but I can't get the PDA setup correctly to sync with the Power Church Software.
What version of the Palm and Palm OS are you using ??

That's the problem, quoting Jeff:PGMBC wrote:Version 2.1
Pocket PowerChurch is only available for Palm Powered Handhelds (running Palm OS 3 or higher). Pocket PC is not currently supported, but it's something we're looking into.

Re: Step by Step
My handheld says: Palm OS Software v.4.1. I think the disk that was included is a v2.0.
I'm not up on speed with technology, so please forgive me.

Re: Step by Step
In that case, which Palm PDA do you have, and do you have V2 of the Pocket PC app ??PGMBC wrote:My handheld says: Palm OS Software v.4.1. I think the disk that was included is a v2.0.

In any case, the steps are the same.
1. Install the Windows portion of Pocket PC from the distribution disk.
2. Sync the PDA with the Palm Desktop, this will transfer the Pocket PC program to the Palm.
3. Using the Windows program, set the parameters for the data you want to extract to the Palm, and run the extract.
4. Do another sync.
I don't have the program any longer, but the help instructions on the distribution disk should give you the procedures. There is also a maintenance release for V2 of Pocket Powerchurch that you can download from the Maintenance Release area of the website.
