We are a long-time user of POwerChurch and are currently using Verison 11.1. We are now setting up a new computer and will be receiving the 11.5 Version of PowerChurch momentarily; it's ordered. Question: should I move the current version & data to the new computer, and then install Version 11.5? Or can I just install 11.5 and move the data? It seems safer to do the former.
Thanks.

I take it that you don't network your computers. If you do, all you need to do is install 11.5 on the 'server', then just do a network install of Powerchurch.ChaletUnity wrote:We are a long-time user of POwerChurch and are currently using Verison 11.1. However, if you don't network them, the safest way is to do a Powerchurch backup of the 11.1 system, then install 11.1 on the new computer, then restore the backup.
Then install 11.5 and select the UPGRADE process. Once you're sure everything is working, you can then use the standard Windows program removal process to remove 11.1 from your computer.
That said, I would think about keeping both computer and networking them .. this would provide you some flexibility so that two people could be working on the system.
