Hi,

I am fairly new to Power Church and I was asked to network a few systems so that all authorized users can have access to the software. All of the systems are user systems with operating systems ranging from Windows XP, 2000, ME, & 98 SE. Of course I will designate one as a server (Windows XP). Any suggestions on how I can set this up where it will be easy for users to use? I am in the process of setting up a network for file and printing purposes. I wanted to get some feedback from others who have done something similar.

Simple file sharing will need to be enabled on the "server." Install PowerChurch and share the directory (PowerChurch for v9, PCPLUS85 for 8.5, etc) with full read and write access. Everyone needs full control - that's key. Then, on each workstation, map a network drive to that shared directory. Once you've got the drive mapped, you can run the netsetup.exe (netsetup9.exe in v9) through the mapped drive. That'll take care of setting up that workstation to access the remote PowerChurch install.

That's about as simple as we could possibly make it.
