Tracking Building Keys

The subject of tracking building keys has come up in our congregation and I was hoping to be able to do this on PC+. I can set up user defined codes to indicate various types of keys and assign such to individuals. However, there is no way to include data such as issue date, return date or even key stamp number. Does anyone have any suggestions? Have I overlooked something?

The only way to keep track of dates, is if you have two date fields open. The key number you can put in one of the user defined fields on the personal profile NOTES tab if you need to.

An alternative is to keep track of the key as well as the issue date, then when the key is returned, just change the code to returned, with the key date changed to the date of return.

There are a number of possiblities that can be used.

However, for the next update, I'd like to see an additional date field added (there is room on the form), then an area on the notes for stuff like key issuance.

We do it in Excel. Its a lot easier than trying to force PC into something that wasn't designed in. You could also do it in Works, or Open Ofice.

Actually, we do keep ours in PC+ ... we use a spare date, a spare user code area, and the notes area.

Works fine, the problem here is that they want to keep track of issue and return dates which can take up two date fields..
