A new Maintenance Release dated 12/9/2020 has been released for PowerChurch Plus Version 12.

The program will automatically download and install this update by going to Help > Download Maintenance Release, or you can manually download and install the Maintenance Release installer by visiting https://www.powerchurch.com/mr in your web browser.

PowerChurch Online servers will be updated automatically overnight. For PowerChurch Online users, no further action needs to be taken.

This Maintenance Release includes the following:

Accounts Payable

• New 1099-NEC tax form
• 1099-MISC and 1096 forms and filing updated for 2020

Is the new and updated 1099 forms IRS approved and are we now are able to print on plain paper? Thank you!

Powerchurch would not release any updates to IRS forms unless they were IRS approved, however, I'm not sure the IRS has approved printing any 1096/1099 series forms to plain paper.

The IRS has not introduced a Substitute Black & White Forms program for 1099s like the SSA did for W2s.

If/when they do, we will work to get approved and add that functionality into the software.
