v10 Maintenance Release dated 11-6-2007 now available!

Post by Zephyr »

Here are some of the issues that have been corrected in this Maintenance Release:

Depending on the two character fund designation, the last digit of the sub-account number could get dropped off the Selected Paid Items report in Accounts Payable.

If all existing events are marked as "church-wide" events and you tried to send an e-mail notification for a range of activities, no e-mails would be sent.

A problem introduced in our last Maintenance Release could cause an "oemail is not an object" error to come up when trying to send bulk e-mails from within Activities and Skills.

Event e-mail reminders were being sent to e-mail addresses not included in bulk mailings.

On the Bank Reconciliation screen, if the adjusted bank balance amount was a negative six-figure number, only one decimal place would be displayed.

A "printer is not ready" error message would come up if no printers were installed and you attempted to print a graph.

When adding an event, the program would allow you to save a task without a name which could cause problems when trying to remove those tasks from the event later.

Several spelling and grammatical errors were discovered and corrected.

RECENTLY ADDED FEATURES AND IMPROVEMENTS
Maintenance Releases are intended to correct problems discovered in the software, but occasionally we add new features or make improvements to the program and introduce these updates in a Maintenance Release. Here are just some of the updates added in this and recent Maintenance Releases:

ACCOUNTING
When printing checks in Accounts Payable, the program now displays a listing of all open invoices for checks that have not been written and allows you to choose which invoices you want to print checks for. Similarly, when posting, a listing of all unposted manual and computer checks is displayed for you to choose which ones to post.

A "Reassign Vendor ID" option in Accounts Payable. Use this feature to change a vendor ID or combine two vendors together.

The program now checks the "end of employment" date on each employee's record and if there is a date in that field prior to the current system date, the program will not print a check for that employee.

Option to include account numbers on the Balance Sheet and Income and Expense Statement.

Option to include budget amounts on the Sub-account Report in Fund Accounting.

Include next year's budget amounts on the Income and Expense Statement report.

The Budget Report can now be run at different summary levels, like the Income and Expense Statement and Balance Sheet reports.

CONTRIBUTIONS
Option to select by contribution type has been added to the following reports in Contributions: Funds Report, Funds Report by Date, Monthly Contribution Totals, Unposted Contributions, Selected Contributors and Fund Totals by Envelope.

Contribution type is now included on the following reports: Full Fund Detail and Daily Amount layouts of the Contribution Statements, Unposted Contributions, Posted Contributions and Repeating Contributions.

A "Reassign a Fund Number" option in Contributions. Use this feature to change a contribution fund number or combine two funds together.

MEMBERSHIP
It is now possible to select by a range of activities and a range of absences on the Consecutive Absentee Report in Attendance.

The Absentee Labels/Mail Merge option in Attendance has been improved. You can now print labels or create the file to use within a mail merge based on either the absent or present status and even choose based on the percentage absent or present.

The program will now automatically change the Adult Y/N field under Personal Profiles to Y whenever someone becomes an adult. The age someone is considered an adult is entered under the Dates tab of the Personal Profiles Setup options screen.

OTHER
The Bulk E-mail utility now supports e-mail servers that require a secure connection using SSL or TLS.

The Backup and Restore utility now supports the use of DVD burners and DVD player/CD burner combo drives for backing up data.

If an Internet connection is available, a message box will automatically come up when starting the program if a new Maintenance Release is available.
