Announcement for 4/4/2005 Maintenance Release

ISSUES CORRECTED IN THIS MAINTENANCE RELEASE Here are some of the issues that have been corrected with this Maintenance Release.

One of the biggest changes in this Maintenance Release is a modification to the program to correct a printing problem that a small number of users reported.
This problem caused characters to overlap on certain reports. This issue was caused by problems outside of PowerChurch Plus, but our Program Development Department found a way to work around the issue. Please note that this modification will not correct the problem on the following reports:

Balance Sheet by Fund
Income and Expense by Fund
Income and Expense by Year
Changes in Equity
Yearly Budget Comparison

When you reversed a transaction in Fund Accounting, an internal line number was not being updated correctly and so the transaction detail would not appear correctly on the Selected Transactions report.

Under certain circumstances, you would get a warning message indicating that the negative format parameter was not found when trying to run the Accounting Fund Balances report.

Running the Trial Balance for a period that crosses accounting years would yield strange results for the beginning balances for income and expense accounts. Since the report was not intended to be a multi-year report, it was changed so that it could only be run for a period within a single accounting year.

The first time you scanned a check for a contributor with a pledge, the contribution would not get applied to the pledge. This only happened with the first scan, each subsequent contribution would get applied correctly.

When creating a Custom Report for unposted contributions, the user name was not an available field to choose from, so you could not create a report based on who entered the contributions.

If you ran the Sub-account Report for a period that crossed accounting years, the beginning balances for income, expense and transfer accounts would show negative amounts. Due to the nature of these kinds of accounts, beginning balances do not make sense when the period crosses accounting years. The report was changed so that these beginning balances would be zero.

A slight problem was discovered by some of the early adopters, so we're working on fixing that. The updated MR should be available 4/5/2005.
