Version 10 - 3/17/2009 MR

Post by Zephyr »

Here are some of the issues that have been corrected in this Maintenance Release:

-----PERSONAL PROFILES-----
When using the "create PhoneTree file" option and including one of the Personal Profile phone numbers, only one record per family was being included in the file. The process should have included one record for each person in the family that met the selection criteria.

When exporting data from Personal Profiles and using the "ASCII tab delimited" file format option, the program incorrectly labeled the file extension as .XLS rather than .TXT, but the file format was correct.

-----ACCOUNTS PAYABLE-----
The Vendor Activity Summary report can be run for a specific vendor or for all the vendors with a specific vendor type. If you enter a vendor type, anything entered in the vendor ID field would be cleared correctly, but entering a vendor ID was not automatically clearing anything entered in the vendor type field.

-----CONTRIBUTIONS-----
The "export data" options always included the primary address, even when an alternate address was in use.

Rarely, after scanning a check using the Check Reader and clicking the Clear button, the program would lock up and have to be closed using the Task Manager.

If you ran the Pledge Statement report and entered text in the "message lines" area, that text would be saved even if you clicked the Cancel button.

On the Pledges/Statements tab of the Contribution Setup Options screen, checking or unchecking the print statements on letterhead option would not activate/deactivate both the top and bottom margin options. It would only activate or deactivate the top margin option. The bottom margin option would not change from inactive to active or vice versa.

On a couple of reports, the report would be generated if you clicked the area around the Cancel button on the report options screen.

Both the Late Payers Report and mailing label option include the choice of running the report based on the contribution type, but neither actually include this information, so the option of running the report based on the contribution type should not be included.

Deleting a contribution fund would not remove it from the list of funds connected with Paperless Payments, so duplicate funds could be uploaded to Paperless Payments as a result.

It is now possible to stop e-mailing contribution statements when an error occurs during processing.

It was not possible to run the Repeating Contributions report based on the contribution type. No matter what contribution types were selected or deselected, all the repeating contributions were being included.

-----FUND ACCOUNTING-----
On the "transaction detail" tab of the View Posted Transactions screen, if you resized the window while the first line of distribution was selected, the account name on every line of distribution would change to be the same as the first.

Choosing a report type of "summary" on the options screen of the Check Register by Fund report disables the sort options, but did not gray them out and it should do both.

The Journal Report only had enough space to display the first 11 characters of the transaction reference which can actually be up to 20 characters long.

-----ATTENDANCE-----
The Visitor Report shows all the family members that were present on a specified date and a list of all the dates that they or any other family members were present. The description of the report was not clear enough and was updated to better describe the report.

The Fast Data Entry screen was designed so that multiple users could enter attendance for one specific activity and date from different networked workstations at the same time, but it was only allowing one person to enter the attendance records.

The Attendance Register Form report would not include any roles if one or more of the individuals in the activity had a blank role.

-----BULK E-MAIL-----
Under certain circumstances, users could get an "internal error" when trying to e-mail contribution statements.

The option for setting an e-mail priority has been removed from the bulk e-mail tool due to the fact that junk e-mail messages often get marked as "high priority" and so e-mail messages marked this way could be incorrectly identified as junk or spam.

-----EVENTS-----
Sometimes one or more months of events would not appear on the Event Calendar, but would appear correctly after closing and opening the calendar multiple times.

Under certain circumstances, editing the date/time on an event on the Event Calendar would generate a fatal error and close the program.

If you extended an event that had a room reserved with it, the start time of the event would be changed by one minute.

An event entered with a year prior to 1900 could not be edited or deleted. The program has been updated so an event date prior to 1/1/1900 can not be entered.

-----ACTIVITIES AND SKILLS-----
4-digit activity numbers would include a comma after the first digit on the Address and Phone Directories report under the Activities and Skills module.

When using the "create PhoneTree file" option and including one of the Personal Profile phone numbers, only one record per family was being included in the file. The process should have included one record for each person in the family that met the selection criteria.

-----ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE-----
The "customer type" field under the Maintain Customer Records screen in Accounts Receivable would allow the user to enter a type in lowercase letters, but it should only allow uppercase letters and should automatically covert any letters entered to uppercase.

-----REPORTS-----
Rapidly clicking the Next Page button on the screen preview of a long or complex report could cause an error indicating that "the control is busy downloading data."

If an error occurred during the generation of a report, some of the temporary files created were not getting deleted.

-----GENERAL-----
It was not possible to delete PowerChurch user accounts under File/Preferences/Passwords.

It is now possible when using PowerChurch Mailroom to print a report at the end of the CASS processing showing all the addresses that were not certified.

When generating graphs, the program will now automatically check to verify that the printer is valid before attempting to print.

If you have the Integrated Data Entry screen open and change the Internet Maps provider under the File/Preference/User Setup Options screen, the change was not recognized until the Integrated Data Entry screen was closed and then reopened.
