How did you apply the Maintenance Release, only to the server, right ?? Check the Sharing permissions on the PCPLUS11 or the POWERCHURCH directory, make sure they're setup properly.

Then I'd rerun netsetup11.exe on the Vista machine.

The permissions issue is actually on the workstation, not the server. This is failing when the program is trying to copy down the new exe from the server.

You should have permissions set on the PowerChurch directory inside the %ProgramData% folder on the workstation. Just type in %ProgramData% in the Explorer address bar to get there. Right click on the PowerChurch folder and choose Properties. Click on the Security tab. Give "Authenticated Users" and/or "Users" Modify rights.

This was something specifically addressed in this Maintenance Release, but apparently, for you, it didn't work. We will note this and pass it along to Program Development.

Administrative permissions are required to change the folder permissions. The correction is in the NetSetup11 which does not get distributed in the MR.

You can download the updated Netsetup11. Once downloaded, replace the existing one on the server, then run NetSetup11 at each affected workstation. The affected workstations are Windows Vista and Windows 7 workstations which have multiple users (a standard user and an administrative user).

We just started having that issue on two of our laptops. They are both running windows 7 and had the newest MR's. All of a sudden this afternoon they both got the copy failed message. I downloaded the new file and ran it on both computers. The error then read \\server1\powerchurch\pcplus11.exe does not exist. Though we could still log on to the kiosk program and see the server files. I then tried re-installing the original file and now both computers are working.

Just wanted to let you know.
