
How does your church/organization track the (temporary) removal and return of equipment?
This can entail a ministry doing outreach and using the portable sound system, a family who is having a large gathering and borrowing folding chairs, a staff member moving an overhead projector from one room to another.
Could this be an addition to the Record Keeping module? Perhaps a check-in/check-out function tied to the equipment in inventory?
What I'm hoping to do is find a way to record who borrowed (checked out) something, when it is due to be returned, contact information on the person responsible for the equipment, who authorized the transaction and when it was returned (in good order).
Does anyone have an established (written) policy on the borrowing/external use of church owned equipment? Would you be willing to share it with me?
