Administrator Password Recovery

Post by markcatanese »

Hello,
I have an embarrassing problem. I have installed Powerchurch7 so long ago that I forgot what my standard password was at the time. Now I can only sign on using the secretary's username and password, which limits me alot. Is there any documented instructions on recovering or manually changing the administrative (SYSADMIN) password. I would appreciate any input. If this is a confidential type topic I can be emailed directly at markcatanese@tmail.com

Best Regards, and God Bless

Mark .. I'd give the PC+ office a call, they can probably help you out much faster.

Neil is right, Mark. We do have a provision for password override, but it'll need to be done over the phone and we need written permission from your church to do so. When you give us a call, we can fax a form letter for you to fill out with your church information that will allow us to give someone a password override. Generally, we need the contact name as well as the signatures of two other authorized church personnel. This may seem like a lot of hoops to jump through, but dealing with passwords is a pretty sensitive thing.

You can also send a written request for a password override on church letterhead. Just include your name, your registration number, contact information when you will be in front of the computer to be overridden, and the signature of two church officials as well as your own. We'll call you back at the time you specify (as long as it's during regular business hours!), and walk you through it. The process itself takes about two minutes.

Our fax number is (828) 665-1999.
