Calendar File Formats

Post by RevWJones »

As you know maintaining an effective calendar can be an awesome task, esp. when there are many ministries in place that are doing all sorts of things.

Our secretary maintains the main church calendar in a variety of formats. Our website's calendar is a great place to post. However, our poor secretary would have to work overtime to maintain both. It appears that Power Church has considered just about everything in designing your Events module. At our church we'd like to be able to use the Events module to communicate and track our facility resources. We just need a way to use the data we enter to upload to our website's calendar. Furthermore, is there a way to link our website to our PC Events' Calendar. Of course, we'd like to maintain our privacy by not exposing any unlisted phone numbers with whatever process.

Please help.

Version 10 does have the option to create HTML calendars that can be uploaded to your church's website. Click on the save as button on the events calendar. (It looks like a floppy disk)

Version 10 also lets you enter three different descriptions for each event. A complete description, a description for e-mail announcements, and a third description to be used on the website. This would allow you to notpost phone numbers or directions on the website, but still include that information on e-mails & other reports.
