I just received a message: ...\pcplus115\data\atdata.cds "tag" "Atdata" is corrupted
Please rebuild it
Is this something that can be done within our program utilities database manager (with help)?

Re: Error Message 2066
You should be able to reindex the data files to fix this. Go to Utilities > Reindex. Choose to reindex Membership files.
Re: Error Message 2066
I have been reindexing, which works for about 25-30 record updates, then the error happens again. I thought reindexing was different than rebuilding.
Re: Error Message 2066
A reindex just rebuilds the database's accompanying index file. However, you should not have to do this every 25 updates. A few months ago I spent time inputting six months of Sunday attendance and didn't reindex once.ckelley wrote:I have been reindexing, which works for about 25-30 record updates, then the error happens again. Are you using the "Fast Data Entry" form to update Attendance ?

No. We've been using the attendance module for years and this problem just started a month or so ago.
Re: Error Message 2066
OK a few more questions so we can get an idea of the setup you have:ckelley wrote:No. We've been using the attendance module for years and this problem just started a month or so ago.
1. What version of Windows are you using?
2. Are you using PCPlus over a network? If so, then:
a) are you entering this data via the client or the server?
b) if on the client, is what version of Windows is the server running?
3. How many years worth of attendance are you storing ??
Separate question:
So you're entering attendance using the Maintain Attendance Data function? Why aren't you using the Fast Data Entry function of Attendance, it is so much faster.

Re: Error Message 2066
Have you recently added auto-backup, like an on-demand backup to the cloud, DropBox, or something that keeps files in sync to an attached external hard drive?
