OLE error code 0x80040154: Class not registered. OLE object is being ignored.
Any ideas why?

Is this on a client or a server installation ?

This is on the server. It happens when I try to go into the Backup or Restore Utility.

Can you backup from another machine ?? I would do that, then try and reinstall Powerchurch on the server, and then install the latest maintenance release.

I did what you said, and it works now. I still wonder why I had the problem, but I'm glad it is resolved. Thank you.

Sometimes the installation of another program (which may be older) could overwrite a needed file with an older version. The install programs should not do that, but some may do so.
What you did was replace the files with the versions that PC+ needs, and update the registry.

That makes sense. Anyway, that's what good backups are for!

I am having this same issue, but also when trying to send e-mails. It does not happen if you make the user an admin. We are running this via Terminal services on Windows Server 2003, with the data on a different server from the terminal server.
Anyone know what rights are required that would allow you to run as admin, but not as Power User?
