Ability to preselect backup/restore medium.

I think I posted this question once before, and reply was that it was being worked on. When might we see it occur?
At present, when backup/restore, or verify is selected, we see a dropdown menu with "A" as the first choice. I would like to be able to preselect the top choice, so it would be presented automatically.
Secondly, after the backup media is selected, if the backup file is not immediately found on the media, (CD not up to speed, etc') when you click on 'OK', the system defaults back to 'A'. instead of the drive you are trying to work with.
