Clearing Education Library

Post by GaboroneBaptist »

In our PC12 software, we have been entered thousands of books into the education library on behalf of the seminary that also shares the same building. The seminary has just purchased their own version of PC12. We backed up the education library, and then restored the backup into the new software. Now we want to remove the thousands of books from our church's software. Is there a way to mass delete books from the library?

A backup file was emailed earlier today as part of a different support issue.

The files that store the Education Library data are called ED and EDINFO. You can restore just those two files from the backup, which will get rid of all of those entries.

You can do this from inside PowerChurch by going to Utilities > Backup & Restore. Choose Restore. Browse to the location of the saved PCBACKUP zip file, then on the next screen choose to restore selected files from the backup. Click the Clear All button so that nothing in the list is checked, then check only "data\ED" and "data\EDINFO".
