Registration #21754 PCPlus7 Operating System Windows NT 5.0l

Attempting to restore mailing list and profiles from church computer to home computer. I backed up the above from the church computer on a disk which I brought home and attempted to restore to my system. These are the messages I received:

System error. Cannot read from device

Dynazip unzip error: Zip file Structure invalid (can't understand zip file, structure problem)

Cannot restore files because program was unable to retrieve backup information.

Sounds like the file was corrupted as it was written to disk. I'd normally advise using a USB 'Flash Drive', but I don't remember if NT supports them !!

It is possible that an error occurred with the floppy disk drive when making the backup, which was not reported to PowerChurch Plus. It is important to always "verify" your backup after creating it for this reason.

It sounds as if the backup is not usable, corrupted files on disk. If you have a different backup to choose from, you will need to give that a try.

As for diagnosis, the problem could be in the diskette (try backing up to a new disk, then verifying it) or it could be the disk drive (if the new diskette fails as well, that would point to a problem with the drive)

Hope this helps!
