Client Machine gets Disconnects from Network error

Post by Suzie Dickey »

What would be the likely problem when Power Church 9 Plus fails to post transactions to fund accounting and receives a disconnection error?

We have already replaced the router/switch, tried static IP addresses and remapped the network drive to the host machine.

The client machine can use the Internet (throught the network card) flawlessly. We are quite positive that it is not the network card.

What would be the likely problem?

Just a thought. Make sure that the ENTIRE Powerchurch directory on the server (not just the DATA directory) is fully shared, that is accessable to EVERYONE and that EVERYONE can change the data in the files.

There is no need to use any WinXP or Server permissions on the system, as the Powerchurch permissions are handled internally.

I'd also run the netsetup9.exe on the client machine just to make sure that all the proper files are loaded locally.

Hope this helps.
