This may be a "duh" question but if so, please bear with me.
What is the difference between making a backup of Membership vs. making a backup of Mailing List, Profiles? When would it be appropriate to use each one?
I presume the backup of Contributions, Mailing List & Profiles is just what the name says?
Thanks for enlightening me!

The backup of Membership files includes Family Mailing List, Personal Profiles, Activities & Skills, Attendance, Visitations, and Ministry Services.
The backup of Mailing List, Profiles, and Contributions contains only those three areas. This one is to be used to capture a Contributions backup where new contributors were added into membership.
If someone is recording attendance data for Sunday, while someone on another computer is entering the contributions, they might make a mailing list, profiles, and contributions backup, so as to not overwrite the attendance data when restoring the backup.
