Copy an Event

I am trying to enter our sports schedules. Rather than entering 31 different events, is there a way to copy/paste an event that doesn't have a specific recurrence?
You can only define event recurring information if you have a recurrence scheme, such as every third week on Tuesday.
Unfortunately, it isn't possible to copy a single event and "paste" it 31 times.
With this many occurrences, it sounds like it may be easier to create as close of a recurring pattern as possible, then delete extras, or reschedule to different days on individuals that need changing.
