Crashed Computer

Post by jrh_67 »

I have a crashed pc from one of the local churches here brought in to me last week. The lady said she was running powerchurch software and that she uses it for everything, accounting, payroll etc. (I have personally never seen the software before.) After repairing her pc i was unfortunately unabe to run the system repair utility in win xp so it had to get a fresh install of windows. I guess my question is...I have her old hard drive and can access it so can i copy the entire directory structure over and then do a fresh installation of powerchurch? If not what is the best approach? Can i download the software? she doesn't know if she has it or what version it was and i haven't heard of any backups she may have. Thanks in advance!!

You should be able to copy over the entire directory (typically C:\PowerChurch) to the new computer, then run the netsetup*.exe (will differ by version) to install the necessary system files.
