At the conclusion of business in Dec 2003 the year end backup was done in January as we understood it should be.
Now, requiring data from 2003 we loaded the 3.5"disk which recovered all data, except that all reports show no access. are blank except headers. It was noted that the dating on the Accounting Current month data shows as 0401. It's assumed that the backup was done after the completion of the closing of the year was completed.
Is there a way to recapture the data as one would assume would be available for the previous year?

The 0401 does indeed indicate that this backup was made after year close. Unfortunately, there is no way to retrieve the detail information from prior years without a backup. If you have backups from earlier in 2003, you may be able to look at those.

Income and Expense reports will give you access to the prior year's totals, but no detail.

In version 9, you will be able to keep history in Fund Accounting just like you currently can in Contributions, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
