Event Wishlist

Post by NeilZ »

Something to think about for the wishlist. I can't find a place to add a location that would include the church address. We don't use the room scheduler and stuff, but for the Google calendar, which is then displayed on the website, it would be nice that the location (church address) would be uploaded.

It may be true that most things occur at the church, occasionally we'll do things with other churches, and having that location included would point to that location.

You can put that in the web notes arrears and it will be upload to the Google calendar. It will not be in the location field, but will show in the notes area.

Does anyone know how close online registration is? How about with credit card approval for any fees?

Not sure if this is even something that's on the radar at Powerchurch right now. Everything in the program is a 'push' type of web update. That is, everything is exported from Powerchurch.

Adding a way to take registrations, including payments online, would involve interfacing with some sort of credit card processor such as PayPal, 4Checkout and so on.

What would actually work better would be using the church website and integrating online registration tools and processing from there.

Something to consider for the Event Wishlist:

Sunday is our busiest day of the week. It would be more helpful to give Sunday a large box on the Weekly List in the Events Calendar instead of the smaller bottom right box under Saturday. It would also help to put Sunday on the left, as the first day of the week, bringing it in line with the other views in the Events Calendar.
