We recently installed the Powerchurch software on a laptop temporarily using the network installation until we got a server in place. Now I have the server and would like to move everything to it. What is the best way of doing this. Should I make a backup of the database on the laptop first - then install the software on the server - then copy the backup to the server and use the restore option? As for the laptop should I then uninstall the software and reinstall using the network setup? Please advise. Thanks

The best way is to do a backup and verify from the Utilities menu on the laptop. Then do a clean install on the server, restore the backup, share the PowerChurch folder. You would then uninstall from the laptop, map a network drive to that PowerChurch folder on the server and run the netsetup through that mapped drive on the laptop.
