Hi, We are using Power Church 11 with patches on a new computer that is partitioned into 2 drives - C: and G: PC works fine on C:, but we need it on G: Our IT person will be backing up the G: drive but not the C:
When we installed on G:, we were able to open the program, but get this error when we try to restore backup or insert data:
Program: FRM_PCBACKUP.INIT
Line: 25
Error: 1426
Message: OLE error code 0x80070005:Acess denied
Thanks for any help.
Installing on different drive

Re: Installing on different drive
This sounds like a local computer permissions problem. The G: drive sounds like a networked drive, possibly a network storage drive, and it may have to have permission granted to users for update on the drive.juliebakercvc wrote:Hi, We are using Power Church 11 with patches on a new computer that is partitioned into 2 drives - C: and G: PC works fine on C:, but we need it on G: Our IT person will be backing up the G: drive but not the C:

Thanks for your reply. So you think this is a Windows 7 issue, not Power Church?

Not necessarily ... if the G: drive is on a networked storage unit, then I would say its a permission problem on the network storage unit.
If the G: drive is a partition on a desktop computer, then I would look to see where the Powerchurch directory was installed.
It should be installed on the 'root' of the drive, that is:
G:\Powerchurch\PCPLUS11 or G:\Powerchurch\PCPLUS115, depending on which version you have installed. That directory should have sharing permissions setup as EVERYONE.

Re: Installing on different drive
The G: drive is on a partition. I'll check on Monday as to how the permissions are set. Thanks again for your help.
