Installing Zip file of all power church to home ccomputer

Post by edfaris »

I just backed up the church's Power church 9 from its computer and tried to install in my home computer but all I get is unzipped files in my folder.

How is one able to install the program.?

Thanks,
edfaris

P.S. what are the poll items for?

You must install from the install CD as there are system files that must be installed for PC+ to run.

The way I do it is this:

1. Install PC+ using the install CD.
2. Apply the latest Maintenance Release
3. Open the program. It will ask for a data file to convert, since this is a clean install, you say no, and enter the church information. You can actually get by with just entering a few stray letters: (EG: adfasdf)
4. Open the utilities menu, and do a restore from the data file you backed up from church.

You now have a working Powerchurch Setup.

The POLL items can be used when creating a new topic to get an idea of what other PC+ users are doing. One of the user polls that have been created is " How many funds do you have?" that is in Contributions.

Using PC+ since 1999.
