I have a label printing and I cannot find where it is coming from. The label is for a couple and the husband is deceased so I want to remove his name from the label. But I can't find the couple or individuals. I looked in household, personal and contributions but they are not showing up. Yet I am getting a label. For now I have added a household with just the wife's name, but it would be nice to not have to find the couple's label and remove it when I print labels.
What am I missing?

There is no way a label should be printing without some sort of record in the Mailing List to give an address.northmnlori wrote:I have a label printing and I cannot find where it is coming from. Re: Label without Household
What module are you printing the labels from? If you are printing from Personal Profiles, Contributions, Activities and Skills, the name on the label will be derived from the people in the family that meet the selection.
For example, if you are printing labels from activities and skills for a Sunday school class. The name on the label is derived from the people in the family that are members of that class. So if the husband is still listed as a member of the class, then his name will print on the label. Same thing from contributions, if his profile has the envelope number listed, then his name will be included on the label as well.

Re: Label without Household
I am using version 9.0. I am printing from the family mailing list. I have checked all modules and cannot find it.
Re: Label without Household
Try this:
Go to Membership, Family Mailing List, Maintain Family Mailing List and click on the Locate button at the top. Sort the list by 'Current Address' (to do this, click on the words 'Current Address' at the top of the column. This will sort the list by addresses) and look for the address that's printing on the label. Sounds like you might have another record in there with that address, but with a different household key name.
Hope it helps,
Zara

Re: Label without Household
That worked. The label was under a different name. Thank you.
