Reassign a Dir Seq 3 to a 1

Post by Cheryl »

How can I easily move a (now) adult child, dir seq 3, over to his own family (dir seq 1) to add a child under his name?
Thanks, Cheryl
~btw-I'm glad to have found a place for help!

Cheryl,

Easily?!

Well, try this:
Go to "Integrated Data Entry" and create a new family unit with his name. Version nine takes you through all the steps of creating a new family unit and personal profile.

I would then recommend that you move his original profile from (his parent's family unit) is to the new family unit. I would delete the profile that has sequence one and then change the profiel you moved to sequence one.

Hope this helps.

Actually, I don't think you need to create the personal profile under the new family, just create the family unit, then move the profile to that location.
