Deleting Entries - "Last Name Required" error

I am very new. The first thing I did was import all of our contributors contact info to the Family Mailing List via CSV file. The first time I did it wrong and the CSV file imported the information into the incorrect fields and left the last name field blank. This creates a problem when I go through and try to delete them. I get an error that says "last name required". How can I just delete all the entries that are incorrect, even without a last name?

I have since imported them correctly so they are in there twice. One the first incorrect way and now the correct way. I just need to delete the incorrect ones.

I even tried to uninstall and re-install just to start over and the info is still there!

OK ... two things. (I'm assuming you're using V11.5)

1. Its more trouble to try to delete the names, what you should do is find the DATA folder under the C:\Powerchurch\PCPLUS115 folder, and delete that folder. Then start the program, the system will then ask your for your church info, and registration number and initialize the database. You can then do the import again.

2. All this does is get the address info into the system, you still need to add the personal profiles to each family mailing profile. Those personal profiles are what you assign the envelope number to so that contributions then has the link to the address.

Contributions will not find name and address info otherwise.
