membership module gives access to contribution data

The "Personal Profie" section of the Membership module allows the user to see contribution data. How do I de-activiate access to this information through the membership module? The contribution data needs to be accessible only to the envelope steward, not the receptionist who keeps the mailing list current.

Assuming that you have a newer version, 11 or 11.5. Sign in with the System Admin username and password. Go to File -> Preferences -> Passwords. Click on the User Profile button on the left. Locate the user in question and make sure that nothing on the Contribution tab is checked. If the person only has permission in the membership module, they will still see the contribution tab but it will greyed out and they can't see anything if they click on it.

If you have an older version, the same principle applies, if they don't have any access in Contributions on their user profile, they shouldn't be able to see anything in Contributions.
