Envelope number in personal profile

Post by martha »

Can someone help me please. When I enter a new member in the personal profile module and click on the small envelope for PowerChurch plus 8 (which is by the way the version that I am using) to automatically assign an envelope number I get a message saying, "a number is already assigned for this person." I know this is not true because this is a new member, first time in the system. I didn't have this problem before I closed the year out. This may not have anything to do with it but I was able to do it before. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. My name is Martha. My e-mail address is marthasereal@yahoo.com.

Thank You

Martha ... if you've already entered a number, then you don't need to click on the icon. Just click on the SAVE button. By entering the number, you've assigned a number to the person. When you click on the envelope icon, you're trying to assign another number.

The envelope icon is used to automatically assign the next open number, if you're not using the system to assign the numbers, you don't have to click on it.

Hope this helps.
