Lost a Family in the mailing list.

Post by JoelS »

I'm new to Power Church so bear with me. I managed to lose a family but still have a profile and contributions posted correctly. I thought that I might have selected "the hide from membership reports" . I tried running the report that shows hidden families. No luck. I guess we actually deleted this file. We were trying to edit the address of the family when this happened. Any suggestions? Using 10.4 Power Church with Windows 8.1. Thanks

If you can find the person in personal profiles, the person should be attached to a family.

To find the family that person is in. From the integrated data entry screen, select the family members tab. On that tab there is a button that says "Locate Profile" Use the locate list to find your person. When you select the person, it will show what family they are attached to.

I found it. Thanks a million. What a puzzle this was. Now how do I move that person to the correct family.

I believe you can do that using Membership > Intergrated Data Entry. Locate the family where this individual is now connected to. Click on the "Family Members" tab. Highlight the individual you want to move. Click the "Move Profile" button. Click the "Move to an existing Family" radio button then choose the correct family.
