can I backup a portion of the power church database

Post by lea »

I am in charge of membership only. I would like to backup only the membership portion to a thumb drive or CD so that I can restore on my home PC to do updating late in the night away from the the church. On the next day I can restore / upload the updated information to the church PC. Is this possible????

Thanks.

It sure is -- you can choose to back up all info, only certain modules, etc. It will be a piece of cake!

My only worry would be if others who had access to the system, did updates that would be overwritten by a restore.

If you're the only person who can access those modules, I'd say "press on", but if there are others who can update the membership modules, i'd think about another method.

Using PC+ since 1999.

That's true! I am the only one who operates PC+ so I don't have to worry about anyone else doing anything after I have done a back up. Sorry -- didn't think about that! Hard to get in a larger church frame of mind coming from a small church!
