Attendance Amount Only

We are a small church. I do not want to record which individuals are at church each week. I only want to record the number of those in attendance. I.e. 42 people.

Is there a way to put only the number of people in attendance at a service or activity without having to register it at the person level?

I am not aware of any. I keep that information on a spreadsheet where I track sanctuary attendance and total attendance - which includes Sunday School students and teachers. No names just a head count.

I wanted to post my work around to this issue in case anyone else is having this issue. Please note: this is not an approved method by PowerChurch, just something I did on my own.

Under Record Keeping>Sermon Filer>Maintain sermon Filer

I am using the reference number field to keep attendance for that week. Previously I have not used the Maintain Sermon Filer but found this may be useful in more ways than one.

By using the Reference No. field, you can use this in reports (canned or custom). I was able to make a really quick easy report with just the date and reference (attendance) no. NOTE: The reference No field appears to char field and not a num field. You cannot sum this field. You will have to export and massage the data to do SUMs on it.

From what I understand, this was always a very simple database table, and while its labeled as a sermon filer system, it could be used for anything you wanted.
