I have PowerChurch 11.5v

I am really frustrated because I keep having a deceased person show up on the church directory as a child. I have gone through the Knowledge Base instructions, deleted the envelope number, changed directory sequence to 99, marked personal status as deceased, and entered the deceased code date of when they passed away. Changed the family mailing to only say the widows name. When I set up the church directory, I am only marking the personal profile codes as members and non-members leaving the deceased blank. What am I doing wrong! :wall:

Which Church Directory report are you running, the one from the Mailing List or Personal Profiles functions ??

When you do the directory, are you selecting only those personal profile codes you want in the directory?? If you do not select the personal profile code at the filter page it will not be included.

By the marking of the codes, are you talking about the screen that asks if you want to put an asterisk against a name? That is not a filter.

I didn't realize you could run the directory from more than one spot. I usually run it from the mailing list, but just tried it through the personal profiles and the same thing happens. Where is the filter page? I think that may be the issue because I am not understanding where that is. I thought where it asks you to put an asterisk next to the profile codes is what you where talking about.

It is the same report linked from both Family Mailing List and Personal Profiles, so it doesn't matter where you run it from.

When you run the Church Directory, the first step asks which layout. The second step has a Personal Status selection button. If the button is labeled "All" then everyone will be included. Click that button and uncheck Deceased and any other Personal Status codes you want to exclude from the report. Then the button will show "Selected".
