Contribution History Needed on Two households-divorce
I need to copy the contribution history from one party of a dissolved marriage that I have moved to a new household with a new envelope#. The other party of the dissolved marriage is retaining the old envelope number and also will need the contribution history to stay with the old number. How do I copy the contribution history to the new envelope # and record?

FWIW .. there is no easy way to do this. You would have to manually enter the contributions for the new number. However, I'm not sure you have to list each and every contribution, but only a yearly total as that would satisfy the iRS.
NOTE: you have to make sure that when you post those new contributions only ONLY post to the Contributions Module else you'd throw off your income.

What exactly are you trying to do here? It appears that you are trying to give credit for the contributions to both parties, which I do not believe you can do.

You have a point Tom ... unless they're planning to file jointly this last year, you would need to split up the Contributions with each party getting 50% of the credit.tborgal wrote:What exactly are you trying to do here?
