We just replaced our old server and reinstalled Powerchurch 11 from CD and then upgraded to Ver. 11.1 and installed latest maint. release to date 12-6-2016. We then restored our "all data backup to the new install. on the new server .All computers on the network are reconnected thru mapped network drive and Power church folders are properly shared.
All computers can connect and use Powerchurch except one, which will give an error to the user as follows while trying to enter Membership/Attendance/fast data entry /: The error reads " The screen you selected could not be started. Please make sure no one is reindexing data files and try starting this screen again." Clicking the OK button takes us to a windows file search ccreen lookin for a dbf file in Powerchurch folder on the server to make aselection.Of course we can not do this selection as we do not know what file Powerchurch is looking for .When we cancel out of that screen we get an error screen that says "ERROR Program: Frmatenters.cokcancel1.click
Line: 129
Error: 1
Message: File "fde02121001.dbf" does not exist.
I have tried uninstall of Powerchurch and disconnect mapped drive and reinstall and resetup mapped drive with negative results.
I can duplicate the error on this same computer with any users credentials with the same resulting error. This error does not happen on other computers on the same network and same connections
I have tried reindexing als and this did not help.
All computers are set the same and work except this one.
What else can I do to fix this.
Thanks, I asked for tech support on this but no answer as yet.
Can anyone here help?

You didn't say what version of Windows is this computer running?Willow Hills wrote:We just replaced our old server and reinstalled Powerchurch 11 from CD and then upgraded to Ver. 11.1 and installed latest maint. release to date 12-6-2016. My first suggestion is to get on this computer, open the shared drive, and enter the INSTALL directory. Run the NETSETUP11.exe program. This tends to re-register the program files, and fixes a lot of issues.
However, you also didn't mention how this computer is linked to the network. If its not hardwired and you're using a wireless connection, this could be the issue. If this computer does not have a good signal, you could be losing connection just when the fast data entry screen is loading. That screen pulls down all the names associated with that activity, so it could be timing out.
Try the suggestion about the NetSetup program, but let us know about the connection.

Re: Errors in membership Attendance
Thanks for the reply,
The server is running server 2012r2 essentials, the client is running Windows 7 Pro 32 bit. This is a wired connection to all clients.
I have tried to run Install netsetup11 several times and uninstalled and reinstalled the mapped network drive several times also.
The only odd thing I notice is that this client does not see the server or some of the other computers on the network but I can type in the address to the server "\\server\pcplus11 and get Immediate access to the shared folders on the server or copy and paste the shared folders address and setup the mapped drive.
The other problem I have is that each time I access the attendance module from another computer the entries are duplicated 7 times but at least I can access it without errors described in first post. Not sure if these problems are related or not.
Thank for any help.

It does sound like everything is related.Willow Hills wrote:Thanks for the reply,

Check the sharing setup on the Win7 computer, as well as on the Server. The server should NOT have any special server permissions setup, just simple Windows file sharing with access to EVERYONE. Also, check to see if there is any firewall program running on that client that may be blocking access to the network.
It sounds like there may be some issues with that client. I'm going to assume that you're using DHCP to set the IP addresses on the network. Make sure that the address of the client is not used by a printer or other peripheral in static IP mode.
If all else fails, you may have to call Powerchurch support directly, but from all I can gather from your posts, its localized to that computer.

Re: Errors in membership Attendance
This appeared to be a sharing problem on the server. Everyone was wright only on one of the shared folders.
Thanks for the help!!

Yep, that's a major issue. Using Windows Server to set permissions on the Powerchurch directory causes a lot of problems.Willow Hills wrote:This appeared to be a sharing problem on the server. Everyone was wright only on one of the shared folders.
