KidCheck Children's Check In security system

Postby mikenerney » Thu Jan 23, 2020 11:14 am

We are considering KidCheck as our children's security checkin system. Unfortunately, they do not integrate with PowerChurch meaning we cannot upload the attendance/checkin data to powerchurch. They said it's because PowerChurch "has to be available and set up to have that open API ability." Wondering if anyone has found a workaround using KidCheck to upload data to PC+ or if PC+ would soon be available to integrate with KidCheck???

Considering that Powerchurch does have a 'Check-In' system that integrates directly with Powerchurch, and is a one-time payment with unlimited kiosks, why use a third-party system that you're paying a monthly fee for?

That said, not knowing what API they're talking about, and not seeing anything on their website about interfacing with 3rd party programs, its hard to determine whether its even possible to interface.

Neil - Our main objections to purchasing the PC+ Check in system are:
PC system cannot text/message parents directly from the system to the parent's cell phone. We want to avoid individual workers/teachers texting from their own phones
PC+ not compatible with Apple IOS for using IPAD for check in kiosk
We have purchased a pager system 2 years ago and find that they do not work in our facility. Children's area is a good distance from the worship center and walls and floors are concrete. We have sampled more then one and cannot work in our space

If any of these objections are incorrect (meaning PC checkin can address these), please let me know. I just wanted you to know why we are looking elsewhere to meet our child checkin/security needs.
If any other users have found workarounds to any of these objections, we are open to ideas before we commit to another product.
Thanks!

There is one thing there that is incorrect, Check-In really only requires a browser that supports Javascript, and I'm sure there's one for the iPad. That said, web check-in may not have the functionality for child check-in.

As I said, there isn't a way to interface any outside product to the PCPlus attendance module.
