Assigning Envelope Numbers

I recently manually reassigned all members and visitors new envelope numbers. I assigned all visitors numbers in the 9000 series, and all members numbers are assigned starting with #1,2,3 etc. In the future when I need to assign a new envelope number to a member or visitor, I would like to use the feature built in PC+ to automatically assign the next highest envelope number. As long as I list that person as a visitor or a member will PC+ know to assign for a visitor, the next highest number in the 9000 series and by that same principle, the next highest number for a member?

Unfortunately it does not work that way. Good suggestion though!
