Phone numbers in pre-designed Directories
We are preparing our first Directory using one of the pre-designed formats - Classic, Detail, Column, Booklet. There are several phone number fields in the Membership records, but it appears that only a couple of them are available for use in the pre-designed directories (Home, Home FAX). How can we include cell phone numbers in any of these formats? Where should it be entered in the Mebership records (Integrated Data Entry or Maintain Pers Profiles)? Thanks for your help.
Re: Phone numbers in pre-designed Directories
FWIW ... you can define (or use one of the installed) phone number types used under the Family Mailing list by going to the menu bar and selecting USER => PREFERENCES => Family Mailing List Setup. You have to have administrator permissions to do this, but from there you can setup what phone types you want to use.Bob L wrote:We are preparing our first Directory using one of the pre-designed formats - Classic, Detail, Column, Booklet. I'm fairly sure that if you use the directory under Family Mailing List, the directories use the label you setup for each phone location.
However, at my church, we list cell phones under the personal profile, unless the family designates a cell phone as one of the 'family' phones, then we list it under the family as well as the main user's profile.

Neil: Thanks so much. Since the pre-designed Directories only allow 2 numbers, I changed the 'home fax' title to 'cell phone' and we're in business. Thanks again!
