Directory Pictures Are Degraded

I have version 12 and have selected to have better quality pictures in the directory.

When I create the directory, the pictures are clear and fine. But when saving the file to pdf and emailing it to members, the pictures are not so fine. When zooming in just a little, they are blotchy and pixilated. Some have black marks.

Any suggestions on how I can fix that?

We published an article about this a few years back. The Save As routine in Crystal Reports heavily compresses everything to make the resulting file as small as possible. If you instead print to a PDF, you will get much better quality
