Entering Birthdays

Post by lfpastor »

I find reference to entering birthdates without years. (It can't be done - you have to add a 'dummy' year.)

How about entering a birth year only? Is there a way to do it? When I've tried it get a little box that pops up telling me I'm entering an invalid date. I could enter a 'dummy' month and day, but they would never be obviously false.

I'm working on making the data on 600 families usable for more than just mailing labels and contribution tracking. There's a bunch of little issues cropping up.

Fun, fun!!

I've always used 01/01/CCYY if all I have is a year and no month or day. Sure the data is false, but if all you have is the year, then the 1st day of the year is the one to use, IMHO.
