Hi,
We use the Attendance module to track Worship attendance. Our congregation includes multiple related but distinct family units, each with its own household. However, the attendance register currently lists everyone alphabetically by last name. This issue also occurs when families are unrelated but happen to share the same last name.
It would be very helpful if we could group individuals by Household instead. For example, consider these fictional individuals:
Smith, Abigail
Smith, Alexander
Smith, Benjamin
Smith, Caroline
Smith, Charlotte
Smith, Daniel
Smith, Eleanor
Smith, Elijah
Family Relationships:
Daniel is married to Abigail. Their grown children are Elijah and Alexander.
Elijah is married to Charlotte, and their son is Benjamin.
Alexander is married to Eleanor, and their daughter is Caroline.
Current Sorting Issue:
The attendance register lists these individuals alphabetically, making it difficult to distinguish households. It would be very helpful for our volunteers if the list were organized by Household.
A Possible Household-Based Grouping:
Option 1: Grouped by Household and Sorted by Directory Sequence
Daniel & Abigail Smith Family
Smith, Daniel
Smith, Abigail
Alexander & Eleanor Smith Family
Smith, Alexander
Smith, Eleanor
Smith, Caroline
Elijah & Charlotte Smith Family
Smith, Elijah
Smith, Charlotte
Smith, Benjamin
Option 2: Grouped by Household but in Alphabetical Order(If directory sequence isn't an option, at least keep families together)
Daniel & Abigail Smith Family
Smith, Abigail
Smith, Daniel
Alexander & Eleanor Smith Family
Smith, Alexander
Smith, Caroline
Smith, Eleanor
Elijah & Charlotte Smith Family
Smith, Benjamin
Smith, Charlotte
Smith, Elijah
Either of these approaches would be a helpful improvement over the current system, where all individuals are simply listed alphabetically by last name.
Is there some option for implementing this already, or can this be added as a feature request?
THANKS!

There is no option for this other than for you to create a custom report. If you want to make a feature request do the following:
Include in the email what you would like to see as an option (cutting and pasting your original comment should work), add how much time you will save by this change, and how it will help other users of Powerchurch.
